Etienne was born in 1987 in Dijon Originally from and now based between Paris and New York, Etienne is a hairdresser savant working in the world’s largest salons. A self-taught soul and insatiable artist, during a trip to Senegal Etienne decided to entrust his sketches of jewelry to a local craftsman and create what will be the first pieces MAYL.

It all starts in Dakar, when Etienne- visiting Senegal- meets local craftsmen who specialize in the work of silver. He leaves them his sketches and the first MAYL pieces see the day of light. Today, every creation of MAYL passes through the hands of Diouck, the jeweler.

Created and worn by a man who is unlike any other, MAYL is the art of being a man. The jewelry of one who makes his life and his style an art. A male in all its splendor: elegant, authentic, passionate, unique. A man who draws his strength from others.
